So I’m on my boogey board surfin’ the net (as usual) looking for all you interesting entrepreneurs that I can cover and I found Joresa Blount, the host and producer of ‘Celeb Locale’. Of course off the bat I loved her and I loved ‘Celeb Locale’ because of it’s concept and focus. It can kind of be coined as the web-series version of FBENOW.com…cute! After checking it out on youtube, I had to ask her a bunch of questions…here’s what she had to say…

FBENOW: So Joresa, where are you from?
JB: I’m originally from Kingston, NC but I’m currently in Brooklyn!!

FBENOW: And if you don’t mind me askin, how old are you?
JB: I’m an actress, we don’t have an age…lol

FBENOW: How did you derive that name ‘Celeb Locale’?
JB: Celeb Locale is for the Local Celebrity!

FBENOW: What is the concept behind ‘Celeb Locale’ and when did it launch?
JB: Celeb Locale spotlights emerging talent in the entertainment biz as well as veterans who are unknown and it launched September 15, 2009.

FBENOW: For those who may not know, what exactly is a web-series?
JB: A web-series are shows that are viewed on the web. Its just like a tv show except you watch it on your computer.

FBENOW: What was the inspiration behind launching your web-series?
JB: I honestly believe it was diving intervention. One day I got the idea to have a show and 30 days later I was launching it. God is good!

FBENOW: Do you work independently or with other people?
JB: I recently teamed up with an amazing producer, Michael Clark of Michael Christoper Productions, LLC.

FBENOW: Have you featured any well known individuals?
JB: That actually isnt the focus of my show, but I did happen to sit down with casting director Tracey Moore who has been the acting coach of celebrities like Eve and Busta Rhymes. She is such an amazing spirit. If you dont know her, you should.

FBENOW: What would you say is your biggest accomplishment?
JB: Honestly, being the first in my family to graduate from college.

FBENOW: Do you have any other projects in the works?
JB: Getting access to industry leaders I would not have been able to reach.

FBENOW: What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of going into business for yourself?
JB: Its great being your own boss, but it requires a lot of work and dedication. You are responsible for thinking about everything!

FBENOW: Overall, what advice do you have for young entrepreneurs?                                                                   JB: Put God first, plan well, and dont give up!
